what’s next

“I’ve loved my life”. This is what “Connie” said to me on our way to the airport. We had met waiting for a
cab outside The Four Seasons Hotel in Miami. We were both tan, relaxed and happy after spending a weekend in the sun. We decided to share a cab when we realized we were heading in the same direction. That wasn’t all we shared. Sometimes my life coach just hangs out all over the place and I can’t quite tuck it back in. In the 15 minute ride I found out a lot about Connie. She was the mother of 3; her middle child was about to graduate from high school and her youngest was right on his heels. She was active in their lives; had been a stay at home mom for 20 odd years and now her job was coming to an end. She told me for the first time in her life she was suffering from anxiety. Where she had been a relatively relaxed and confident mother, all of a sudden fears were popping up everywhere. She wondered if she was beginning menopause and if this is what was causing it. I was most stunned though, by the words: “I’ve loved my life, every part of it , and now it is coming to an end.” I was struck because these were the exact words I had spoken as my own baby bird began to prepare for her flight from the nest. And I knew all too well the unspoken words from this beautiful, talented, smart and funny woman: “what’s next? who am I if not someone’s mother, the driver of carpool, team mom, PTA president?” I was able to find my answer and Connie will, too, if she looks. The path to our North Stars, you see, aren’t really as elusive as we believe. They’ve merely been a bit overgrown, somewhat neglected, like a patch of garden we once started and then got too busy to maintain. Once you start to clear out the weeds, though, you will see the pathways that were prepared, lovingly laid out for you, each one bringing you closer to you best destiny.

What about you? Are you wondering what’s next? If so, I can help. I’ve created a program to help you begin to uncover the dreams you got too busy to create. If you’re local and interested, I will be doing this as a group- message me to learn more. If you’re from outside of Atlanta and interested- message me- I do some of my best work over the phone!
